Paul Davis is an English physicist who asks what life is, not what it does, and finds that information flow is central to living organisms. The subtitel explains that hidden webs of information are solving the mystery of life. He refers to informational complexity and quotes David Deutsch early on in the book - one of my favorite philosopher of science.
